The tennis icon and Grand Slam champion is teaming with Verizon Media in an exclusive shoppable video series that showcases items from her S by Serena Autumn/Winter 2020 collection. The series expands her brand’s “Everybody, Every Body” content that was released earlier this year.
The series allows shoppers to purchase items directly through Verizon’s Yahoo Shopping platform, per WebWire. “The first video hosted by Williams highlights her style guide and favorite pieces from the collection. Powered by Verizon Media’s new shoppable video format, the videos will take viewers on an interactive journey, with clickable content that allows for seamless purchasing.”
Williams, along with a group of body-empowering women, launched the content series in a video on Williams’ Instagram page last year.
“While we all have different bodies, personalities and backgrounds, we can all feel confident, bold and fierce when wearing clothing that we love and feel great in,” Williams said. “Our first ‘Everybody, Every Body’ video helped grow and empower our strong community and as we continue this series in partnership with Verizon Media, we hope to reach and inspire even more people by championing their greatness and encouraging them to be seen and be heard.”
Williams, who launched the namesake brand in 2018, is chairwoman of Verizon Media’s global advisory board. There, she provides diverse insight and experience, and she helps drive impactful ideas forward for the company. Williams is also working with athletic superbrand Nike to find emerging designers to collaborate on an upcoming apparel and footwear collection that is slated to be released next fall.
“Everybody, Every Body,” the short-form digital series debuted on Yahoo Shopping, Yahoo’s new commerce platform. It will add more episodes that are set to air through February 2020.
